Travel guide

Before, during and after the journey

Boarding and departure
Scheduled services leave Wika Service Station, opposite KFC in Windhoek, at 06:00. Boarding opens before departure so luggage can be loaded and the coach can pull away on time. Arrive early enough to be seated before 06:00 — the coach does not wait.
Luggage
Luggage travels in the hold rather than in the cabin. If you are carrying oversized items, sports equipment or freight, tell us when you book so we can reserve the space. Keep valuables, documents and medication with you.
Passports and the border
Every passenger crossing at Mamuno needs a valid passport, plus any visa their nationality requires for Botswana. Have your documents accessible — the coach clears the border as a group, so one missing document holds everyone up.
Travelling with children
Passengers under 18 travelling without both parents may need a signed consent affidavit for the border. We publish a travel consent form on this site that produces a printable affidavit you can complete before you travel.
Payment and confirmation
Send your booking request online or on WhatsApp. We confirm availability, then send payment details. Your seat is reserved once payment reflects — an unpaid request does not hold a seat on a full departure.
Getting help on the day
WhatsApp 081 447 7230 is the fastest way to reach us, seven days a week. The alternate line is 085 447 7230, and bookings can also be emailed to bookings@mushima-investments.site.

Full booking terms, including changes and cancellations, are confirmed with you at the time of booking. If you need them in writing before you travel, ask us on WhatsApp and we will send them through.

If the answer you need is not here, message us on WhatsApp and we will answer the same day.

Travel and routes

Where does the bus leave from?
All Windhoek departures leave from Wika Service Station, opposite KFC. Boarding opens before the 06:00 departure, so please arrive early enough to load your luggage and be seated.
Which days do you travel to Gaborone?
Sunday is the direct run at N$1,000 per seat. Tuesday travels via Ghanzi at N$550 per seat. Both depart at 06:00.
What route does the coach take?
Out of Windhoek via Hosea Kutako, Witvlei and Gobabis, across the border at Mamuno, then Charles Hill, Ghanzi, Kang and Sekoma, ending at Riverwalk Mall in Gaborone.
Do you still run to Johannesburg?
We have run the Windhoek to Johannesburg corridor and can arrange onward transport into South Africa. Message us for current availability and pricing on that leg.

On board

How much luggage can I bring?
Each passenger is allowed luggage in the hold. If you are carrying oversized items or freight, clear it with us in advance so we can reserve the space.
Are your vehicles air-conditioned?
Yes. Our Mercedes-Benz coaches and Sprinter minibuses are air-conditioned, with reclining seats for the long-distance runs.
Can you collect me from the airport?
Yes. We handle Hosea Kutako pick-ups and drop-offs. Send your flight number and landing time when you book so the driver can meet you.
Can I book a whole vehicle for a group?
Yes. Churches, schools, companies, sports teams and tour groups charter a full coach or Sprinter. Email bookings@mushima-investments.site and we will quote within 24 hours.

Booking, payment and borders

How do I pay for my seat?
Message us on WhatsApp at 081 447 7230. We confirm availability and send payment details, and your seat is reserved once payment reflects.
What do I need at the border?
A valid passport and any visa your nationality requires for Botswana. Passengers under 18 travelling without both parents may need a signed consent affidavit.
Do you have a travel consent form?
Yes. There is a travel consent form on this site that produces a printable affidavit for minors travelling across the border.
How far ahead should I book?
Seats are limited on both scheduled services, so book as early as you can. Charters should be arranged well in advance so we can allocate a vehicle and driver.
